Question PvP only chars have inactive skills

I just started Factions, im only interested in PvP, but noticed that pvp only premade characters have some of their given skills locked (those that r available from the start in casting bar). Anybody knows why?
They r in the skills list, and in the casting bar but cant use them.

You have to unlock them in PvE or in PvP via spending balthazar faction. 3000 faction for an elite skill, 1000 for a normal skill. Goes for gear too, 1000 faction for a minor rune or weapon upgrade. 1500 faction for a major rune. 2000 faction for a superior rune.

Please try to not use short hand, full English, its the rules

Now since you new basically most of the best skills in the game are locked when you first start.

What you need to do is create a PvP character and I suggest fighting in the Random Arena or the Team Arena to build up Balthazar Faction points.

You can then trade these Balthazar Faction Points for skills , weapon mod upgrades and runes.

As a PvP character you already have access to the best armor in the game from the start.

Also you may only be interested in PvP, but you may want to give PvE a go as well, since its much faster method of unlocking skills, runes, weapon mods.

Once any rune, weapon mod or skill is unlocked. You can use it for any of your PvP character without trouble.

What RTSFirebat has said is correct, however it also sounds like you're using a character, such as an assassin premade for pvp, but you don't have factions (or you don't have prophecies). If you don't own the chapter that a skill is from, the skill will be locked on a pvp character until such time as you own the appropriate chapter.

Personally, I think the premade characters should have access to ALL the skills. They can make them use skills that you don't have unlocked, why not give access to skills from a different chapter?

Are those skills that you can't use sword/axe/hammer attacks? If so then you need to gain adrenaline you can get adrenaline by just whacking/hitting your enemy and the adrenile will build up and when you have enough then the skills icon on the casting bar will light up.
Some skills need you to have a certain weapon equipped like a sword or a bow or something. You can't do sword attacks with a hammer

i disagree.

why give a person who buys chapter x several free decks of skills (all prior chapters worth) the same as someone who paid for all of the chapter specific content?

You misunderstood. I mean't the premades only, you have no choice in what skills they begin with. You can change them by replacing skills with ones you do have unlocked, but beyond what they start with, you can't add other skills you have not unlocked. For example, the A/W Shadow Blade build (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/A/W_Shadow_Blade) you could take away any of the assassin skills and put in a warrior skill or 3, but you could not replace moebius strike with Aura of Displacement unless you own factions and have AoD unlocked.

As things are right now, if you don't have factions, the premades that use factions skills are crippled and useless. Premades let you use skills you don't have unlocked, why can't they let you use skills that you don't currently own the correct chapter for. Changing this would allow potential factions buyers to test out a couple things and have a better understanding of whether or not they want to buy the expansion.

OK, everything is clear now, yes I only have Factions, thats why some premade skills are "locked" - they are from Prophecies.

I don't understand. The PvP premades, which ANet intends for use by people new to PvP in general (not just those that buy particular chapters) have certain skills locked to Factions only players. What possible excuse is there from preventing them from using those skills on the premades ?

Now I don't understand.
Are you trying to justify giving premade characters all skills?
What point would it be to gain faction, then? You're taking away a major value of the PvP scene.
Besides, there's a reason that premade characters only have access to certain skills: if you haven't taken the time to unlock them, it gives you a goal.
Grind? Perhaps. Fair? Definately.
Why give a PvP character access to all skills when PvE characters have to spend the time earning them? It is a backwards concept and will never fly.

I'm not trying to be offensive, but can you read ? You've quoted my post and attributed things to me that I haven't said or even implied. I'll repeat my point again:

-PvP premades are not made up of core skills exclusively.
-A person that has a Faction's only account cannot use some of the skills on the premades.

Now, doesn't something seem amiss here ? PvP premades have skills that people who don't have all the chapters cant use. They can't unlock them either, except by buying the chapter that contains them. Yet the premades are available to them, and the majority are the ones that came with Prophecies (at least at the moment).

So I propose that any skill on the premades be unlocked for them only. Is that so hard to understand ? If there is a Prophecies' only skill on a premade and you only own Factions, you should be able to use that skill on that premade.

Were you hallucinating when you wrote this ? :

I wasn't even talking about unlocking skills for use on the account. Are you not aware that Factions only players cannot use Prophecies' skills, yet those skills are on the premades ?. They appear locked to Factions players, like the skills unlocked during the FPE appeared to us. Its horribly unfair and totally ridiculous. It defeats the purpose of having premades.

How you could have misunderstood my post so badly, I can't understand. You think I was talking about PvP skill unlocks, UAX etc. ? Just for clarification, I wasn't. I apologise if I offended, but then your post offended. My intelligence.
